The Babes of War is a Supergroup in City of Heroes, an online MMORPG created by NCSoft and Cryptic Studios. We can be found fighting crime and keeping Paragon City safe on the Freedom server.
The Babes of War are the premier hottie heroines of the Freedom Server. The group was founded on July 28, 2004 and was initially led by Blaze Storm and Tara Jewel. Led today by Wind Wench, High Beam, and Miss N Control, the Babes have quickly established themselves as dominant crimefighters. The Babes are well known for their frequent adventuring in large groups as well as their philanthropic endeavors ranging from tributes to fallen heroes (real as well as fictional) as well as the BEST HOSTS of parties and contests. This includes the outrageously fun Simon Says game, that our very own Queen Ena created in mid-2005!
The Babes of War (BoW for short) also maintain many active Supergroups for alternate characters. Pep Squad and Color Guard house members under level 15, as well as overflow alts of members in the main squad. Angels houses our level 50s. The Men at Arms house our male alts. Hottie Hopefuls is our SG for those who desire entry into our family. As most Babes have alts, there is often a senior Babe playing a more junior member. Please note we do not recruit for any specific group directly, rather we accept applications from players with main female toons who are looking for an online family. Specifically, we do not accept male toons into Men at Arms unless it is an alt of a current Babe of War.
Though many members of the group hold a very high Security Level, we are not power levelers. We will very often exemplar down to help other Babes as well as any hero or heroine that may need our assistance. We may spend several hours of time that could be spent arresting villains chatting and dancing in Atlas Park. Babes of War place very special emphasis on good conversation and good team play.
Remember: Being in the "top 100" of prestige earners is not what makes a good SG. The Babes of War are about family and friends. If you are looking for an online home and not a bunch of PLers that force you to earn prestige and base advancements in the group on what you've earned, then look no further. If you're into labels and PLing, then perhaps we aren't right for you.

Our weekly costume contest in Atlas last night had a pretty good showing. I was the mc, while Ana kept everyone on task and paid all the great winners. With us, we had Mysty, Lacey, Neko, and Miko, and quite a few memorable players from previous CCs made appearances as well! After a quick game of hot potato, Mysty ended up being the judge and these were the winners she picked:
Ladies and gentlement, boys and girls, costume critics and fierce fashionistas: I present to you an explosion of Weekly Costume Contest goodness. Out of game stuff has kept me pretty busy lately, so here are the results from the past three Weekly Costume Contests. The first was on August 9th, was hosted by the amazing Miss N, and was jointly judged by then-Hopefuls Lacey and Prom. The next was held on August 16th, and was hosted by Atty. Then, last night's costume contest was hosted by Miss N and judged by Elfy (welcome back to the show Elfy!). The winners can be viewed in chronological order below:

Whew, after the crazy-go-nuts Anniversary, it was a little bit strange going back to a normal Costume Contest. There was a good turnout on the platform in Atlas Park though, and there were a number of people there to take a look at all the heroes showing off their best duds. Miss N was our host, and our peanut gallery included Ana, Shock, Libby, Mysty, and myself along with our two newest Hopefuls: Promethia and Lady Fiery Lace. Also joining us were applicant Grim Rose and former-Babe: Barbie. Ana put her discerning eye for heroic do's and dont's to the test when she picked out these slick-looking winners:
